Accessing Apple HFS+ Volumes on Windows

This is the Read-Only HFS+ driver that comes with Boot Camp 4. It can be installed on any Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 or 8.1 machine without the need to install the Boot Camp package (and also easily removed if necessary).

Install Apple HFS+ Driver

  • Uninstall MacDrive/Paragon
  • Copy AppleHFS.sys & AppleMNT.sys to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\
  • Merge Add_AppleHFS.reg
  • Restart

Remove Apple HFS+ Driver

  • Browse to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\
  • Rename AppleHFS.sys & AppleMNT.sys to AppleHFS.sys & AppleMNT.sys
  • Restart
  • Browse to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\
  • Delete AppleHFS.sys & AppleMNT.sys
  • Merge Remove_AppleHFS.reg

Note: x86 folder is for 32-bit Windows
x86_64 folder is for 64-bit Windows
